Jutta Mertens-Kammler was born in Germany and raised in Switzerland. In 1978, she and her husband chose Portugal to live.

The artist has always felt a great fascination with art, which was present in her life and it was inevitable that she dedicated herself to creative activities. Painting, creating interior spaces and designing jewelry were, in addition to her professional life and numerous trips, her most beautiful hobbies.

With the purchase of an iPad, Jutta discovered a new world in painting: the digital application or iPad-Painting. Instead of using brushes, a palette and an easel, you paint with a finger or a special pen on the screen, where various programs offer unprecedented opportunities. Meanwhile, other internationally renowned painters and artists also use this new method.

Beside her paintings, Jutta also creates “MAGIC BOXES”, her three dimensional work. Jutta fills boxes, container or glasses with funny or dark stories, full of imagination, fantasies and colours. Exciting!
