Although born in England, I have spent much of my life elsewhere, in particular India, North and West Africa. The influence of these environments has strengthened my predilection for strong colour and pattern. I have a Diploma in Fine Art, Painting, from the Slade School of Fine Art London and have taught art and worked as a freelance artist, designing murals and colour schemes for polychromatic architecture. I am primarily interested in the use of emotive colour as a form of expression.

In England I was a member of the Printmakers Council, exhibiting regularly with them throughout the UK. I have also exhibited with the Royal West of England Academy (a residency at Dundee Contemporary Printmakers) and the Manchester Academy of Fine Art. I have exhibited internationally in Harmosand (Sweden), Lagos, Nigeria and at the Adogi, Spanish Mini Print International, Cadaques over several years (Exhibition prize winner in 2004). I moved to the Algarve in 2005.

Nascido em Inglaterra, passei grande parte da minha vida noutro lugar, na Índia e Norte e Oeste de África. A influência destes ambientes reforçou a minha predilecção por cores e padrões fortes. Tenho um diploma em Belas Artes, Pintura, da Slade School of Fine Art da Universidade de Londres. Tenho ensinado arte e trabalhado como artista, desenhando murais e esquemas de cor para arquitectura policromática. Estou principalmente interessado no uso da cor emotiva como forma de expressão.

Em Inglaterra, fui membro do Conselho dos Tipógrafos. Expus regularmente com eles em locais em todo o Reino Unido. Expus também com a Royal West of England Academy (com uma residência na Dundee Contemporary Printmakers) e a Manchester Academy of Fine Art. Expus internacionalmente em Harmosand (Suécia), Lagos, Nigéria e na Adogi, Mini Print International espanhola, Cadaques durante vários anos (vencedor do prémio da exposição em 2004). Mudei-me para o Algarve em 2005.
